Prof. Dr. Walter Rust’s main field of expertise is company law (company law related to limited liability companies, public limited companies and groups of companies) as well as licensing law and cooperation/R&D contracts. He advises public limited companies, small and medium-sized family-owned businesses and new technology companies on establishment, restructuring, capital measures and sale of companies and he advises members of management boards and supervisory boards on liability and organisational matters or in connection with shareholders’ meetings.

His clients are renowned players in the energy sector, in life science and information and communication technology both in Germany and abroad.

Walter Rust studied in Freiburg i. Br., Geneva and Washington D.C. (LL.M. – Georgetown University), got his doctorate degree (Dr. jur.) and is admitted to practice as a notary, as a lawyer and as an attorney at law (New York). He teaches at several universities and has been chairman of the supervisory board of several companies, including listed companies.
