Dr. Egbert Kümmel
Attorney at Law and Notary
Egbert Kümmel is a lawyer and notary focused in real estate law. He specialises in particular in residential property law and property development law. As a notary, he mainly advises property investors and developers, particularly in the implementation of property development and sub-division projects. He also advises clients on the planning and organisation of private property succession.
Egbert Kümmel studied at the Universities of Greifswald and Potsdam. Before and during his legal clerkship in Potsdam, he completed his doctorate under Prof Dr Werner Merle on a topic relating to residential property law. He has worked as a lawyer in Berlin since 2002, initially at Schultz und Seldeneck, from 2005 to 2024 at Wanderer und Partner and since 2025 at MOCK Rechtsanwälte & Notare. From 2004 to 2016, he was a lecturer in training to become a special-ist lawyer for tenancy and residential property law for Juristische Fachseminare and for many years co-authored several specialist books and a commentary on residential property law. He has also worked as a notary in Berlin since 2017.
